Dr Hill received her B.A. at the University of Florida and her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico. She teaches courses in archaeology, biological anthropology, and Arctic anthropology.
Her research interests include:
* human adaptations to maritime environments
* human-animal dynamics
* zooarchaeology
* ethnobiology
* ancient subsistence systems in the Arctic
